This project has a large amount of involvement from Tina Turner herself, who at a recent event said that the project brought her out of retirement. The musical was made with her blessing and features many of her best songs. The show is a must-watch for anyone familiar with the book written by Katori Hall and of course, Tina Tuner’s music because it highlights the often-overlooked personal struggles of the artist behind the music.

The Story

The story follows the life of Tina Turner, right from her beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, all the way to her relationship with Ike Turner and eventual comeback in her 40s. The musical shows us Tina's tryst with abuse and horror from her husband which finally ended in a divorce, after which she struggled to make it in the industry. The musical highlights her ability to overcome obstacles as she went on to become a solo rock 'n’ roll star.

The entire ensemble played and sang rousingly, and the actors of Tina and Ike were outstanding: super sensitive, captivating, captivating. Simply great.

Ticketing was easy to use. The theatre was fine with a lot of stairs... and we had good places. Performance was excellent

Well we were familiar with Tina story and saw the movie we wanted to see the musical and it did a good job of depicting Tina Turner story. The acting and the music throughout was entertaining however the closing was fabulous and totally unexpected and had the whole audience involved in a remarkable way - different than anything we've ever experienced.

Das Musical und die Darsteller waren toll, ausgezeichnet ! Das Theater bietet KEINE GARDEROBE an somit muss man seinen Mantel halten. An diesem 2.4.2024 hat es geregnet und der Mantel war naß, also unangenehm. Die Sitzplätze in diesem Theater sind VIEL ZU ENG. Es ist kaum Platz zum sitzen und auch für die Füße. Daher ist der Theaterbesuch ein geringes Erlebnis. Essen und Getränke während der Vorstellung finde ich im Theater nicht angebracht. Die 30 Minuten Pause ist lange genug dafür. Fotos kann ich KEINE HINZUFÜGEN da fotografieren verboten ist.
